Our philosophy is that a great product should not need a warranty.

When maintained well, it should just last from generation to generation without any worries.

That's the mentality we followed when we designed and developed our bikes.

But still some things are not in our hands, therefore we will need this page.

FIVE YEAR WARRANTY ON COMPLETE BALANS NORMAL BICYCLE

BALANS warrants to the original owner that this new BALANS bicycle shall be free of defective materials and workmanship for a period of five years from the date of original purchase and operated under normal conditions and use. During this five-year period, BALANS or any other authorized bike shop by BALANS shall repair or replace, at its sole option, all parts that are found to be defective and subject to this warranty. The original owner does not need to pay any labor charges connected with the repair or replacement of all parts.

FIVE YEAR WARRANTY ON BALANS E-BIKE BIKE PARTS
TWO YEAR ON ELECTRONICS.

BALANS warrants to the original owner that this new BALANS E-BIKE's parts (everything except battery, motor and electronics) shall be free of defective materials and workmanship for a period of five years from the date of original purchase and operated under normal conditions and use. During this five-year period, BALANS or any other authorized bike shop by BALANS shall repair or replace, at its sole option, all parts that are found to be defective and subject to this warranty. The original owner does not need to pay any labor charges connected with the repair or replacement of all parts. The entire electronic system, motor and battery are covered by a two-year warranty, whereby accidents or consumer mistakes like shorting polarity are not covered.



NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY

• Any normal wear, for example when tire rubber or bike chain get worn out due to a lot of use.
• When periodic maintenance is not applied.
(We recommend that the bike get a complete service and maintenance every year. But if used a lot, more than 40 minutes a day or 600 km a year, then we recommend to do a complete bike and hub maintenance and service every six months).
• When abused, and not used for its purpose, for example using a city bike as a mountain bike, or a cargo bike and loading more than its capacity (we recommend a maximum load of 150 kg) 
• Accidents 
• When common sense is not used
